Why Get Custom Fit?

We are all different.

We have different heights; different arm lengths; different levels of strength, fitness, flexibility and athletic ability; and vastly different golfing ability. How can standard-specification golf clubs work as well as possible for every person? Customization is needed. Without it, a player will have to try and play this very challenging game with clubs that add to the difficulty: that get in his or her way.

For example, if a set of clubs is too stiff for a player, fewer shots that person hits will feel good and solid. Clubs that are too long make it much harder to control the clubs and get centre-face hits. Clubs that are too heavy or too light, or not balanced to one another properly, make it more difficult to develop good rhythm and tempo in ones swing, or good direction with one's shots.

Clubhead designs that are unforgiving on less-than-perfect impact may work well for top Tour players, but they are bad choices for beginners or high handicappers. Sets that include harder-to-hit clubs, like long, low-lofted drivers, or traditional long irons, are also poor choices for most players.

The only way to avoid these and other problems is to systematically fit the clubs to you. If this process is done properly, the resulting clubs will perform more accurately and consistently than clubs that have not been properly fit; and encourage better swing habits and fundamentals. They will enhance your strengths, and minimize your faults. Just as importantly, if not more so, the clubs will feel more comfortable - thereby breeding more confidence - than pre-made clubs can possibly manage.
